Whitcomb, the mountain operations manager, said Lost Valley started the snow guns Tuesday and snow-making will continue around the clock until Saturday morning, when warmer weather is expected to roll in. Opening day is Dec. 17, Whitcomb said, adding that he hopes to have 100 percent of the trails open by Christmas. “That’s our goal, as long as Mother Nature cooperates,” he said.
