Key losses: Samantha Largess, TJ Cowin, Gavin Lee.

Promising newcomers: Boys: Senior — Mark Boivin. Girls: Seniors — Jamie Steven, Grace Stover, Rose Wright; Sophomore — Ashley Conkright.

Outlook: For the girls it’s a rebuilding season after losing two of Class C’s top skiers in Largess and Cowin. The good news, though, is that there is a good crop of newcomers in place to help the transition, including some upperclassmen. The boys are missing just one skier from a year ago and are in good position to contend again in the MVC and Class C state meets.

Coach’s comment: “The door is open for the new girls to step up and help Lee and Wheeler uphold the Telstar girls’ winning traditions. On the boys’ side, losing just one skier means that the rest of the team is a year older, physically bigger and stronger and it should be a great season for them.” — Coach Annie Reis
