DURHAM — A Lisbon driver escaped injury when his truck hit a deer Thursday evening.
Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Deputy Maurice Drouin said Michael Graf, 55, was driving his pickup in an easterly direction on Davis Road when the deer ran into his path.
The animal was still on the pavement when the deputy arrived, but apparently was only dazed as it got up and ran off into the woods.
Damage was estimated at $1,500 to Graf’s 2001 GMC in the 5:37 p.m. crash.
