MEXICO — The following incidents were handled by the Mexico Police Department.

Arrest

Timothy Carro, 37, Main Street, Dixfield, at 8:02 p.m., Dec. 9, on River Road, operating under the influence. He was released from the Rumford Police Department on an unknown amount of bail, and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on March 8, 2011.

Accident

Vehicles driven by Rosaire M. Bisson, 91, South Rumford Road, Rumford, and Jami L. Maranda, 29, of Holyoke Avenue, Rumford, collided at 1:17 p.m., Dec. 8, at the intersection of Route 2 and Railroad Street. Bisson’s 2000 Mercury sedan sustained $3,000 damage. Maranda’s 2005 four-door Jeep sustained $500 damage.

Theft

A spokesperson from Mountain Valley Middle School reported at 12:09 p.m., Dec. 8, that someone had taken a laptop computer sometime between Dec. 2 and Dec. 3. It is valued at about $1,000. The matter is under investigation.

Vandalism

A Gleason Street resident reported at 11 a.m., Dec. 15, that someone had “keyed” the side of his 2004 Ford pickup truck sometime the night before, causing about $300 damage. Police have a suspect.
