I want to know whose bright idea it was to hide our beautiful Christmas tree in the back corner of Dufresne Plaza? Please put it back on Main Street where it belongs. Or maybe near the Veterans Memorial Park so it’s at least out in the open for all to view and enjoy.

My gripe is with irritating, loud dog barking with no consideration from the owners for their neighbors’ peace and quiet. They let their two dogs jump on their enclosed fenced-in area ready to pounce out at any schoolchildren or anyone walking by, viciously barking. I find their late-night and early-morning barking unnerving. City noise ordinance? None.

If there is anything that irks me it is receiving return-address labels in the mail from different organizations (especially from out of state) requesting payment for these items sent to you, which also include calendars, greeting cards, etc., none of which have been requested. I have almost enough return-address labels to paper a room in my home. There are enough local organizations requesting donations to feed the poor and to give money to. How can one help everyone? And how are the out-of-state people getting our names to even write us? Enough is enough. Money doesn’t grow on trees.

My biggest gripes: 1) To see adults and young people striding along the street dragging a small 3- or 4-year-old along who has to run to keep up; 2) Parents walking along the street with dark glasses on with a baby or small child in the glare of the sun with no protection. Come on, people, think of the welfare of your child!
