LIVERMORE — Christmas Eve Service of Carols and Candles will be held at 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at the North Livermore Baptist Church, 555 Federal Road.
The annual mitten and hat collection for donation to the area schools is still going on.
SAD 52 open house
TURNER — SAD 52 Adult and Community Education will hold an open house from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Turner Learning Center, 486 Turner Center Road.
Those attending will learn about the education program and meet instructors, and there will be refreshments, music and prizes. The program is open to residents of Greene, Leeds and Turner.
Some of the classes being offered are Teen Yoga, FitKids, Folk Art Hooked Rug, Hula Hoop for Fitness, Photography, Make Your Clothes Fit, Zumba Blast, Baby Signing, Ballroom Basics and Automotive Basics.
Hosts needed
NEW YORK CITY — Volunteer are being sought for the Fresh Air Fund. Close to 5,000 New York City children visit volunteer host families for up to two weeks every summer through the Friendly Town program.
