FARMINGTON — Several teenagers were injured after a 16-year-old Wilton boy lost control of a car on Friday afternoon on Whittier Road, Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering said.
It went off the road about 5 p.m., rolled over and landed on its wheels, Bowering said, according to officer Michael Adcock’s police report.
The driver faces charges but had not been charged as of Monday morning, he said.
The occupants of the 1999 Ford Taurus ranged in age from 14 to 17 years old and were from Farmington, New Sharon and Wilton, he said. There were two girls and four boys in the car.
Some of the teens were treated for minor injuries at the scene by NorthStar Emergency Medical Services ambulance crew. At least two of them were taken by ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, Bowering said. Farmington Fire Rescue Department assisted police at the scene.
The car, registered to Robert Frost of New Sharon, was estimated to have $8,000 in damage, he said.
No other information was available on Monday.
