FREEPORT — Bill Harley, a two-time, Grammy Award-winning recording artist, storyteller and prolific author, will join other artists for a New Year’s celebration for the entire family on Friday, Dec. 31.

The free event at L.L. Bean will also feature the juggling antics of Matthew and Jason Tardy at 11 a.m.; children’s musician Rick Charette at 5:15 p.m.; the Wear and Wave Art Extravaganza by VSA Arts of Maine; and a hot cocoa toast and fireworks at 6 p.m.

Harley, who is a regular commentator for NPR’s “All Things Considered” and is featured on PBS, will perform at noon and 2 p.m.
