Accidents
Lewiston
* A vehicle driven by Brandon A. Harris, 22, of Auburn, and owned by Weldon E. Leonard of Durham struck a car driven by Chung Ho Cheng, 38, of Lewiston, while backing out of a garage at 10:05 p.m. Saturday at the Sullivan Tire Co. on Lisbon Street. A large sander in the bed of Harris’ pickup truck obscured his view. Damage to Harris’ 2006 Ford was estimated at $500 and damage to Cheng’s 2011 Toyota was estimated at $2,000.
* A vehicle driven by Steve R. Blaise, 36, of Lewiston, sideswiped a utility pole when the driver was blinded by the sun at 1:40 p.m. Saturday on South Avenue. Damage to Blaise’s 2004 Ford was estimated at $2,000.
* A vehicle driven by Nicholas M. Masselli, 71, of Lewiston, struck a car driven by Jean C. Steinberg when it inched too far onto Lisbon Street as Steinberg’s car passed by at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Webber Street and Lisbon Avenue. Damage to Steinberg’s 2004 Volkswagen was estimated at $1,500. Damage to Masselli’s 2006 Ford was estimated at $500.
* A car driven by Richard Daniel Crocker, 20, of Lewiston, and owned by Rosemarie Goodwin of Lewiston slid off the road and struck two utility poles at 2:40 a.m. Sunday on Old Greene Road. Police reported that speed was a factor. Both utility poles were damaged. Crocker reported bruises to his head. Damage to Crocker’s 1995 Honda was estimated at $10,000.
* A vehicle driven by Gale A. Droves, 57, of Raymond struck a car driven by Aaron Kimball, 26, of Lewiston and owned by Kenneth Shorey of Branford while it pulled out of a parking lot at 1 p.m. Monday on Bates Street. Kimball complained of head pain. Damage to Kimball’s 2001 Plymouth was estimated at $3,000 and damage to Groves’ 2000 Chevrolet was estimated at $4,000.
