FARMINGTON — Ziggy, a beagle/plott-hound mix around a year old, is looking for a home.
Franklin County Animal Shelter staff said he still needs some basic training but he seems to catch on quickly. It takes him a minute to warm up to new people but once he does, he loves the attention given him.
He is playful and would love to find a home that is active, staff said. Ziggy loves to play with other dogs and he tends to play a good game of chase with cats. He would probably do best in a household with younger cats that can tolerate his playfulness.
Ziggy is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $125. For more information, call 778-2638.
New dogs at the shelter include a pit puppy found in Farmington and a shepherd/pit puppy found in Livermore Falls.
The shelter, 550 Industry Road, has more than 100 cats/kittens and nine dogs that thank residents for their donations this holiday season.
