As a Christian, I will not accept a “holiday” tree, happy “holidays,” or making Christmas all about Santa and gifts, gifts, and more gifts — always looking for the elusive gift, or the newest electronic gadget that seems to cost more every year.
The true meaning of Christmas is that the greatest gift, God’s only son, the Savior, was born and I, for one, will not be afraid to speak up. Christians have a right to express and practice their faith.
This is a very holy time for Christians and we should not feel ashamed; we should celebrate with love and great joy. It was celebrated as Christmas long before it became known as happy holidays.
I thank God for the Armed Services that protect our right to worship God and pray.
I am proud to display my outdoor Nativity set and wish everyone a blessed and merry Christmas.
