Eric Meader, 25, of Baldwin Terrace, Rumford, lost control of a 2002 Ford Ranger he was driving south on slippery Route 120 in Mexico at about 1:45 p.m. Monday. The vehicle went over a 30-foot embankment and landed in a cluster of trees. Neither Meader nor a 24-year-old passenger were injured. The pickup sustained $4,000 damage. Mexico police Sgt. Roy Hodsdon was assisted at the scene by Rumford Sgt. James Bernard.
