L.L. Bean will ring in the New Year with free family entertainment throughout the day on Friday, Dec. 31, at its store on Main Street, Freeport. Matthew and Jason Tardy will kick off the day’s events with high-energy juggling at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. Two-time, Grammy Award-winning recording artist, storyteller and NPR commentator Bill Harley will perform at noon and 2 p.m. Harley’s songs, which paint a humorous picture of family life, include “50 Ways To Fool Your Mother,” “Down in the Backpack” and “Monsters In The Bathroom.” Popular children’s entertainer Rick Charette will top off the day with a lively concert at 5:15 p.m. in Discovery Park, just outside the Bean store.
