BRUNSWICK — The Maine Tennis Association is bringing internationally recognized Mike Barrell to Maine Pines Racquet & Fitness on Monday, Jan. 10.

Barrell has been using the QuickStart format in England for over ten years and will conduct a workshop on how and why it works. At the end of the workshop coaches will have a working knowledge of the top priorities at each level and understand, based upon sound growth and development principles, what is possible at each stage and how to teach tennis in the most effective way.

The workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Maine Pines Racquet and Fitness, 120 Harpswell Road. Cost is $25. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.  To register for the workshop, please email Lisa Gilbride at [email protected].
