AUBURN — An Androscoggin County grand jury indicted four young adults Wednesday on charges of breaking into the Frito Lay warehouse on First Flight Drive in Auburn last October, destroying a door and food stored at the site.

They are Nicole Stacey, 20, of Poland; Seth Bowie, 19, of Mechanic Falls; Kevin Payette, 19, of Mechanic Falls; and Jason Perkins, 18, of Poland.

According to court records, all four are charged with burglary, theft by unauthorized taking and criminal mischief. They are accused of using a blowtorch in the warehouse, breaking down a door and destroying Frito Lay property on Oct. 3.

Auburn police declined to release details of the burglary, and calls to Frito Lay’s warehouse were not returned Thursday.

Frito Lay, with headquarters in Texas and warehouses throughout the United States and Canada, manufactures and distributes Lay’s potato chips, Doritos, Sun Chips and other snack foods.
