PARIS — Selectmen will have a chance to approve or reject a nominee for former Highway Foreman Frank Danforth.
Town Manager Phil Tarr has nominated Daniel F. Nowell, the public works director for the town of Sebago.
According to his resume, Nowell has run Sebago Public Works since 2007. Before that, he held several jobs as a tractor-trailer driver and as a corrections officer and in 2004 served as a patrolman for the Bridgton Police Department. In the 1980s, Nowell worked in road construction.
Since 1987, Nowell has been a firefighter with the Bridgton Fire Department. He was captain for 10 years and a district chief for 13 years, according to his resume.
He served in the Army until his honorable discharge in 1984, his resume says.
Tarr will also present findings from a committee formed to study ATV use on Parsons Road and look for compromises or alternatives.
Finally, selectmen will discuss policy on communication between town employees and selectmen, a conversation planned for the previous meeting but postponed due to Tarr’s absence.
The Board of Selectmen meets Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Paris Town Office.
