AUGUSTA — Committal services honoring the life of Robert O. Killkenny were held Thursday at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Augusta. During the service, words of remembrance were shared by Bob’s granddaughter, Brandy Keith, and the song, “Go Rest on the Mountain” by Vince Gill was played in tribute to Bob. The United States Army honor detail then played “Taps” and presented our country’s flag to Bob’s wife, Linda, in recognition of her husband’s service to his country during the Vietnam Conflict. The pallbearers were John and Lawrence Kilkenny, as well as Gilbert and Dennis Donahue. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel & Tribute Center, Auburn.
