LEWISTON — Fannie Ella Harriman, 91, resident of Russell Street in Lewiston, formerly of Brunswick and Freeport, died Sunday, Jan. 9, at Russell Park Manor.

She was born May 24, 1919, in Whitefield, a daughter of George W. and Mildred B. (Wilson) Hassen. She attended schools in Randolph and Pittston.

On July 2, 1966, she married Kenneth F. Harriman in Freeport. In 1984, Fannie and Kenneth moved to Brunswick and they lived together there for many years until she went to Russell Park.

Fannie was employed for many years at several area shoe manufacturing companies as a shoe worker in many different positions.

Over the years, Fannie was a member of the Freeport Baptist Church, Brunswick Nazarene Church and most recently had attended TNT Bible Ministries in Topsham. Through her affiliations with these churches, Fannie formed many friendships and participated in many church activities.

Survivors include four children, Robert E. Curit of Freeport, Rita C. Dobson of Pownal, Martha J. Liscomb of Topsham and Kim S. Hansen of Norway; a stepson, Herbert E. Brewer Sr. of Freeport; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth F. Harriman in 2004; two children, Raymond G. Curit and Esther I. Norton; and four stepchildren, Eleanor Pratt, Richard Brewer, Dorothy Marston and Oscar Brewer.
