TURNER — Funeral services honoring the life of Leota Seaward was held Monday at the Turner Village Church with Pastor Cliff Olson officiating. During the service, the pianist, Larry Catlett, who was the husband of granddaughter, Vicki, played “The Lord’s Prayer” at the beginning of the service. Words of remembrance were shared by Leota’s grandson, Greg Gilbert Sr., granddaughter, Darlene Ryder, granddaughter,Vicki Catlett and Lisa Freda, read a note of thanks and gratitude from her mother Toddy Green Whitcomb Kessler who was raised by Leota when her family, the Green’s became motherless in Turner. Also in attendance was Lisa’s sister, Beth Whitcomb St. Pierre because their mother Toddy was so grateful to the Seaward Family. Members of the Turner Grange were also in attendance. Following the service, a reception of fellowship followed in the church hall. Pallbearers were Greg Gilbert Sr., Greg Gilbert Jr.,Jeff Gilbert, Gary and Ralph Ryder as well as Bradley Plourde. Graveside committal prayers will be held later in the spring at Arundel Cemetery in Kennebunkport. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel and Tribute Center, Auburn.
