DIXFIELD — The following incidents were handled recently by the Dixfield Police Department.
Theft
* A Third Street resident reported at 9 p.m. Jan. 10 that someone had taken about 30 Vicodin prescription tablets sometime between Dec. 17 and Jan. 8. The pills have a street value of between $150 and $300. Police have several suspects.
Vandalism
* A Dixfield resident who had been parked on Coburn Avenue while attending a Dirigo High School basketball game reported deep scratches to the driver’s side door, and dents on both doors and the hatch of his vehicle at 11:51 a.m. Jan. 7. The damage is believed to have occurred between 6:30 and 8:15 p.m., the night before. Police estimate damage as high as $1,200.
Computer messages
* Parents of a 16-year-old Dixfield boy reported at 3:15 p.m. Jan. 7 that a 20-year-old man has been sending sexually-related messages to their son on the family’s computer.
Accident
* An accident at 8 a.m. Jan. 6 on Route 17 resulted in the injury of a pet dog that had run out into the road. The vehicle was not damaged. The local animal control officer was called; however, the pet owner took his dog to an area veterinarian. The dog’s condition is not known.
