WAYNE — Public memorial services for Samuel Wendell Craig were held Jan. 8 at the Wayne Community Church, with the Rev. Kristin White officiating. Organist was Judy Barnes and soloist was Linda Hargesheimer who sang “Ave Maria” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The congregation hymns were “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Amazing Grace.” Psalm 23 was recited in unison and the gospel reading was John 14. Holy Communion was offered to all. Eulogies were given by Mike Wroniak, Ken Bate, Buddy Seymour and Ed Webber. Following services, a comfort reception, hosted by the Women’s Fellowship, was held in the church undercroft. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, Jay.
