RUMFORD — Dan and Janice St. Cyr of Mexico are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Desiree St. Cyr, to Matthew Bernard of Rumford, son of Olin and Francine Bernard of Rumford Point.

The future bride graduated from Mountain Valley High School in 2004 and furthered her education at the University of Southern Maine. She graduated in 2009 with her bachelor’s degree in social work, then in 2010 with her master’s degree in social work with a clinical mental health focus. She is currently employed by Providence Service Corporation doing intensive in-home therapy.

The future bridegroom graduated from Mountain Valley High School in 2004 and from the University of Southern Maine in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in marketing.

The wedding will take place June 11 at Camp Sunshine located at Sebago Lake in Maine.
