YARMOUTH — The Maine Renegades squirt hockey team defeated the Maine Hurricanes, 4-2, Sunday evening at Travis Roy Arena.
Ryan Blouin scored all four goals for the Renegades. He staked the Renegades to a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period.
The Hurricanes came back and tied the game midway through the second with two goals in a one-minute span. The Renegades scored the eventual game-winner one minute later to reclaim control of the game.
Blouin’s final goal was an empty-netter. Reed Hopkins and Cam Niven had two assists apiece. Evan Cox and Hunter Dupuis each added one. Goaltender Jacob Smith faced 17 shots.
Hard Hat Players of the game went to Blouin and Jack St. Pierre. The Rens are back in Valley Hockey League action next weekend in Tewksbury, Mass.
