Gov. Paul LePage will be in Lewiston Tuesday morning to meet with leaders from local businesses and government. The open community meeting is one of LePage’s “Red Tape Removal” audit meetings, aimed at brainstorming ways of reducing road blocks that complicate creating jobs.

LePage has made Maine’s business climate a priority and is looking to citizens for ideas, a news release said.

“Every idea that has the potential to move Maine forward will be considered. From the ground up, we will streamline the rules, eliminate senseless red tape and create a culture of cooperation between Maine’s regulators and the private sector,” LePage said.

The public meeting, hosted by the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, begins at 7:30 a.m. at the University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn Campus building at 51 Westminster St. in Lewiston.
