AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre hopes to help cure the winter blues with a toe-tapping performance of Sentimental Journey’s “Moments to Remember” on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18-19.

The show is a fundraiser for the theater.

Sentimental Journey’s 2011 show features classic tunes; golden oldies from the 1930s, ’40s, ’50s and ’60s; hits from Broadway; and favorite pop songs done in harmony.

 Included are such favorites as “Blue Skies,” “Route 66,” “Over the Rainbow,” “Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” “Return to Sender,” “Good Luck Charm,” “In the Still of the Night,” “Cry” and “Happy Together.” Some popular Beatles and Beach Boy tunes will also be performed.

Music will be sung a cappella or with accompaniment on piano, guitar and/or drums.

Sentimental Journey’s show, now in its fifth season, is directed by Jan Crosson with musical direction by Courtney Babbidge. Comedy Connections regular John Ater will be master of ceremonies.

Participating vocalists  include Max Ater, Sheldon Bird, Ron Bouffard, Crosson, Donna Griffin, Suzanne Rankin, Beth Saufler and John Strong. In the pit will be Babbidge on piano, Jamie Buonaiuto on guitar, Sheldon Bird on bass and Tynan Nida on drums.

Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, and at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Great Falls Arts Center on Academy Street. Tickets are $18.
