LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Lillian M. Cloutier was celebrated on Saturday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish, following prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan March celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of Mass, Lillian’s daughters, Patricia Gilbert and Diane Roy draped their mother’s casket with the burial pall that commemorates their mother’s Baptism into new life. During Mass, the first reading was presented by Lillian’s son, Ronald Cloutier. The offertory was brought to the altar by her granddaughter, Heidi and her husband, Michael McKenney. Words of remembrance were expressed by her oldest grandson, Michael Roy. Bearers were her grandchildren, Michael Roy, Shawn Gilbert, Scott and Kevin Roy, Andrew Cloutier and her son, Ronald Cloutier. A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant following the committal prayers at the cemetery.
