‘2 Pianos 4 Hands’
Portland Stage Company will present “2 Pianos 4 Hands,” a comedy with music about a lifetime obsession with 88 keys, from Jan. 25 to Feb. 20. As children, Ted and Richard didn’t have much in common, except the desire to become classical pianists. “2 Pianos 4 Hands,” by Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt, follows the dynamic and comical journey of the two boys into adulthood. Above, Richard (played by Jeffrey Rockwell), acts bored as Ted (Tom Frey) plays the piano in Portland Stage’s production of “2 Pianos 4 Hands.” Besides the pianists, the two actors portray more than 20 other characters, bringing to life childhood memories of lessons, parents, recitals, auditions and the drive to achieve greatness. For showtimes and ticket prices, call 774-0465 or visit www.portlandstage.org. Portland Stage performances are at 25A Forest Ave., Portland.
