AUBURN — Desiring the happiness the God of mercy and love promises His faithful followers, Rena Colleen Berube, born Dec. 31, 1961, the beloved first-born child of Raymond and Patricia Berube, slipped away peacefully, to be with our Lord, on Wednesday, Jan. 26, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her daughter, Erica Rose Marie Berube; by both her parents; and five siblings, Marc, Patricia, Ray, Sandy Berube, and Michelle Giard. She also left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Big-hearted and enormously generous, Rena touched many lives, through both her career as a nurse, as well as her efforts to evangelize by making rosaries and attending Eucharistic Adoration. She was always ready to provide what she believed an individual needed. She worried about the young and old, and was regularly inspired to bring home those who had no one with which to celebrate the holidays. Rena loved spending time at the ocean with family, as well as exploring the area around Lake Auburn. She will be greatly missed, frequently remembered, and constantly loved.
