The Sun Journal article of Jan. 24 about Maine during the Civil War and Gov. Israel Washburn incorrectly stated that the Norlands farm was south of Augusta.

The Norlands is northwest of Augusta in Livermore, where Washburn was born and grew up.

My husband grew up in South Livermore and spent many childhood days playing at the Norlands.
