FARMINGTON — Selectmen have voted to move the annual town meeting from mid-March to April 2.
This will allow for research and gathering needed financial information for some articles on the warrant.
There are a few details that still need to be worked out, including getting estimates on the renovations to the Franklin Avenue building and structuring an agreement on the Franklin Savings Bank stairway proposal, Town Manager Richard Davis said Friday.
Selectmen made the decision Tuesday night, Davis said.
The annual meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Community Center on Middle Street.
Voting for municipal and school officials will be held the day before on Friday, April 1, at the center, Town Secretary Linda Grant said. The time has not been decided.
Absentee ballots will be available Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the town office.
