Auburn City Councilors on Monday will be asked to consider spending $15,000 toward a major study of the Lake Auburn watershed.
Camp, Dresser & McKee Inc., a Boston-based engineering firm, recommended the detailed, four-season study after conducting a preliminary review of the watershed last year.
Auburn Water District trustees voted at their last regular meeting to proceed with the study and to ask that Auburn and Lewiston each fund one-third of the approximate $45,000 cost, with the district paying the remaining $15,000.
