LEWISTON — Roland C. Pelletier, 74 of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston on June 8, 1936, the son of the late William and Laura Cote Pelletier. He was educated in Lewiston schools and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army.

On May 7, 1960, he married Lorette M. Mercier. whom he loved very much.

Prior to his retirement he was employed by Billen Shoe as a sole layer. He enjoyed spending time with his family,feeding the birds and walking Daisy.

He is survived by his wife, Lorette, of Lewiston; a daughter, Linda M. Poulin and husband, Michael, of Sabattus; one grandson, Anthony Gagne and partner, Makaela Keene; two great-grandchildren, Abbrielle and Ava Gagne; two sisters, his twin sister, Rolande Binette, of Auburn, and Gertrude Pelletier of Florida; two brothers, Sylvio Pelletier and his wife, Peggy, of Florida, and Robert Pelletier of South Paris; his in-laws, Marc and Madeline Poulin of Lewiston, Marcel and Denise Poulin of Lewiston, Lucille and Dennis Woodland of Florida, Marcel and Theresa Mercier of Florida, and Raymond Mercier and Linda Soucier of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Laurier Pelletier; and a sister, Pauline Tanguay.
