A memorial service honoring the life of Erwin L. Merrill Sr. was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at SG Thibault Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Tracy officiating. A favorite song of Erwin’s was played during the service: “Mama Liked the Roses” by Elvis Presley. The eulogy was given by his son, Erwin L. Merrill Jr.

A reception followed at the Green Church in Mexico.
