TURNER — SAD 52 Adult and Community Education will hold Saturday classes again this year. The first session will take place Saturday, Feb. 12. The following classes will be held:

Folk Art Rug Hooking: Learn the sequence and procedure of rug hooking, from start to finish.

Cake Decorating: Using a basic four-tip plastic set, practice writing letters, borders, simple flowers and lines. Start on blank cardboard or paper plates and work up to a cake.

Guigen Qigong: A system of healing and energy medicine from China. It uses breathing techniques, gentle movement and meditation to cleanse, strengthen and circulate life energy.

Snowshoe Trek: Hike trails at the Androscoggin Riverlands State Park. Four or five miles over varied terrain. Pack a lunch.

Hazmat Endorsement Prep: Those who have their CDL and want to brush up for the Hazmat test should sign up for the three-hour course. It’s designed to prepare people for the Hazmat Endorsement on their CDL.

Maine Driving Dynamics: The class is aimed to improve a person’s defensive driving awareness and abilities. Students completing the course receive a three-point credit on their driving record.
