Valentine service
NORWAY — “Ruth and Naomi” will be the focus on Sunday, Feb. 13, at services at the First Universalist Churches of Norway and West Paris. It is a service in honor of the theme of Valentine’s Day: “Love.” A special Valentine’s Day communion will be served. The Rev. Richard Beal will preach.
The service at West Paris is at 9 a.m. The service at Norway begins at 11 a.m. Child care is available and people of all religious traditions, or none, are welcome.

Supper rescheduled
PARIS — The pork roast supper hosted by Deering Memorial Methodist Church, 39 Main St., has been rescheduled and will now be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. The prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12, and there is parking space behind the library and town office.
Enrichment classes
PARIS — The following enrichment courses are being offered by Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education:
Dog Obedience: with Lynda Knowlton, Monday, Feb. 14, from 5 to 6 p.m.; cost, $65.
Intuition: Going Beyond Your Sixth Sense: Chris and Paula Easton, Thursday, Feb. 17, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.; cost, $20.

Sunday sermon
PARIS — Silver Moore-Leamon will lead the 10 a.m. worship service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, Sunday, Feb. 13. Forest Perkins will direct the music and Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. All are welcome.
Beekeeping
PARIS — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension, in conjunction with the Western Maine Beekeeping Association, will offer a four-week beekeeping short course from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 15, 22 and March 1 and 15, at the Extension office.
Fee for the course is $30 and preregistration is required by calling the Extension office at 743-6329 or 1-800-287-1482 or e-mailing lesley.quick@maine.edu.
