Scot and Cindy Grassette of 49 Franklin Reception Hall in Rumford, Maine will host a River Valley Chamber of Commerce “Business After Hours” event featuring wedding related businesses. The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 10 at no cost to the public. There will be door prizes and raffles, cheese and cracker platters and a 3-foot chocolate fountain. The event will feature entertainment by Ross Swain on piano, with sets by Abbey and Sara Gilbert on cello and violin.

Featured wedding rental businesses include Kristy Murphy, of Delightful Rentals, a linen rental company; Ali Clark, of Phony Florist, will show her crafty artificial centerpieces; and Carlisle’s, of Rumford, will highlight tuxedo rentals. The featured bridal shop is Carousel Bridal, of Jay; they will have some of their elegant gowns on display. Tom Bourret, of the Maine Press, will be displaying his work with classy and casual wedding invitations, alongside Sherry Milligan and the staff of Davis Florist with stunning flower arrangements and bouquets. Photographers displaying their works of art include Christal Treadwell of Studio 6; Photography of Greg Viger; and Hillside Photography, featuring Anthony Mazza. Carri McPherson, of Piece of Cake, will be displaying her beautiful and delicious wedding cakes. The staff of All That Jazz will show the latest trend in hair styles for brides and grooms.

49 Franklin Reception Hall will be presenting its own “Grapevine Catering” and “Grassette Entertainment” disc jockey service; they also offer helium balloons, chocolate fountain, and notary public service.
