In 2006, John Baldacci received 38 percent of the vote for governor. Why weren’t there complaints then about the unconstitutionality of the Maine voting laws?

Democrats and liberals have been spoiled and over-privileged for almost 40 years with control of the House and Senate. The reality is that liberals, finally, are not getting their way. They should stop whining like spoiled brats.

Some time ago, President Barack Obama said the Cambridge, Mass., police “acted stupidly” after the arrest of Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. (caught breaking into his own home and had no identification). But there had been several break-ins on that street. The police were just doing their job. Liberals should stop defending their messiah and liberal politicians. They are no different.

Gov. Paul LePage is a little brash, but like many working people, he is sick of how pathetic the state government has become.

He has made some important decisions, such as red tape business meetings all over the state; cutting the inauguration short to save money; and canceling the game wardens’ expensive yearly dinner. Democrats never made real cuts.

The red tape meetings show that he wants to hear directly from business people.

An article in the Sun Journal stated that welfare abuse is exaggerated. There are so many ways to beat the system — anyone could write a book on the abuses.

LePage may need to show more grace, but he is not afraid to get his hands dirty.
