LEWISTON — Fundraising trainer Marc Pitman will teach a class based on his book and DVD, “Ask Without Fear!,” at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce.

A Lewiston native, Pitman has traveled around the world teaching nonprofits and volunteers how to raise more money. “Most people rank fear of asking for money right up there with fear of untimely death,” said Pitman. “I love showing people how much fun it can be.”

He simplifies his message to a the phrase “Get REAL” — Research, Engage, Ask, and Love. Pitman resides in Waterville and he has a blog, FundraisingCoach.com.
