PHILLIPS — In an effort to create new business and retain jobs, board members from the towns of Phillips, Avon and Madrid are actively seeking applicants for low-interest loans through the Phillips Area Micro-Loan Program. Persons looking to start a new business or expand in those three towns may be eligible. The program helps applicants work through a process to lead to their success.

Those persons interested may pick up an application at the Phillips or Avon town offices, or online at www.phillipsmaine.com under “Town Businesses.” For more information, call the Phillips Town Office at 639-3561.
