CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Carrabassett Valley Academy has announced the establishment of a new scholarship fund to honor Joshua Waldron, who died in January. The scholarship will help assure that bright and talented kids like Josh have the opportunity to attend CVA to reach their athletic and academic goals.
The Waldron family and CVA have partnered with the Maine Community Foundation to manage and administer the endowed fund.
CVA will select the annual scholarship award recipient/s. When selecting a Josh Waldron Scholar-Athlete, the committee will give preference to younger freestyle skiers from Maine who show academic and athletic promise.
Ways to Give to the Joshua Waldron Scholarship Fund include mailing checks payable to CVA to Joshua Waldron Scholarship Fund, c/o CVA, 3197 Carrabassett Drive, Carrabassett Valley, ME 04947 or calling 237-4471 to make a gift through a credit card.
