WILTON — The Wilton Day Extension met Feb. 10, welcoming Barbara Hathaway, state president. There were eight members and four guests present. Ann Story was welcomed as a new member.
Members discussed making afghans or pot-holders as a community service project.
Hathaway spoke of upcoming events and Caroline Mayo, East Wilton Homemakers Extension president, gave a brief speech. Members signed a card for the family of Nelda Doak.
Wilton Town Manager Rhonda Irish discussed “Getting To Know Your Town.” She told a little bit about herself and events that will be happening in the town in the near future. A potluck lunch was held.
Members will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Wilton Fire Station. Topic will be “Health and Safety in the Home.” For more information, call Hazel Flagg at 645-2423 or e-mail Becky at idontknow63@hotmail.com.
