NORWAY — Staff at the Norway Memorial Library want to get the word out about the importance of children’s literacy on Wednesday, March 2.

The library will host a Cat in the Hat Party from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. that day in honor of Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Seuss lovers of all ages are invited to join for an hour of rhymes and fun.

The National Education Association’s Read Across America is a year-round literacy project that encourages readers, young and old, to celebrate reading.

Those attending the program may register for a chance to win a Dr. Seuss door prize.
