LEWISTON — Led by the Welch family, Team Pegasus cruised to victory in rthe 18th annual Lahey Bowl-Fest Jan. 29 at Spare-Time Recreation.
Winning team members were captain Bud Welch, Dolly Welch, Pam Welch, Frank Welch Jr. and Meddy Perry.
Team Century-21 Advantage finished second. Team personnel were captain Bob Brickel, Faye Brickel, Donna Brewster, Jennifer Willey and John Turner.
Pen-Mor Printing captured third, led by Glen Fillion with a 649 scratch series. Other team members were Wayne Fillion, Miek Bowie, Jerry Bissonnette and Matt Nicole.
A total of 170 bowlers competed in this year’s event to benefit the Lahey Foundation. It was established in memory of Thomas F, Lahey, a local athlete and businessman who died Oct. 3, 1987 at age 44. Since its inception, the Lahey Foundatuion has awarded more than $160,000 to graduates of Lewiston and Edward Little high schools and Saint Dominic Academy.
