LEWISTON — Hubert E. Cote, 80, of Lisbon, passed away peacefully at Central Maine Medical Center on Friday, Feb. 18, surrounded by his loving wife, Annette, children and grandchildren.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1930, in Topsham, the son of Albert A. and Georgianna (Shorette) Cote.

He was a carpenter by trade, having worked for Warchalowski Brothers for 22 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and keeping up on current events, both local and national. He had a passion for the outdoors and his home, tenderly caring for his pets and wild birds and taking great pride in his family’s home and surroundings.

He was devoted to and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annette Latouche Cote. Annette and Hubert married June 6, 1953, at St. Anne’s Church in Lisbon.

He is also survived by his children, Theresa St. Onge and her husband, Peter, of Lisbon, Roger Cote and his wife, Sharon, of Lisbon, Dee Green of Durham and Laurie Cote and her partner, Kelly, of Northeast Harbor; six grandchildren, Jacques and Anna St. Onge, Joey, Valeen, Joshua and Jered Cote; four great-grandchildren; siblings include Robert Cote of Bowdoinham, Bess Cote of Brunswick and Neil Cote of Bowdoin.

He was predeceased by siblings, Albert Cote, Jessie Roy and Nancy Michaud.
