WILTON — Marie D. Wills, 73, a resident of North Main Street, Wilton, passed away peacefully early Tuesday, Feb. 22, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 5, 1937, in Livermore, the daughter of Howard O. and Eunice (Smith) Davis. She attended school at the Riverside School in Livermore and Leavitt Institute in Turner. On July 15, 1954 in Livermore, she married her husband of 56 years, Walter R. Wills. Through the years, Marie worked in the local shoe shops. Marie devoted her time to her family and friends, she enjoyed cooking for her family during the holidays, visiting and car-pooling her friends and relatives.

She liked doing crafts, knitting, hooking rugs, needle point, making mittens for her grandchildren and sewing; she also enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers and playing cards. Marie was also musically inclined teaching herself how to play the guitar and accordion. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Marie is survived by her husband, Walter R. Wills of Wilton; her daughter, Debbie E. Seelow of Jay; her son, Rick D. Wills and his wife, Peggy, of Livermore; sister, Joyce Pope of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Frank Davis of Livermore; sisters-in-law, Marilyn DiSotto of Livermore Falls and Cecile Hathaway of Wilton; brother-in-law, Paul Wills of Clearwater, Fla.; three grandchildren, Tami Turner, Corey Breton and Ashley Bergman; and three great-grandchildren, Bretteney Sanders, Casey Burhoe and Jordyn Breton.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Mildred Tuttle, Marilyn Aucherman and Evangeline Stevens.
