AUBURN — Reginald “Reggie” R. Chretien, 66, a resident of Chretien Lane, Livermore Falls, died early Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Hospice House of Androscoggin, where he had been a patient since Feb. 8.

He was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Livermore Falls, the son of Ronaldo and Jeanne (Mercier) Chretien. He was a 1965 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Reggie served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He worked as a papermaker for IP at the Otis Mill and also the Androscoggin Mill on Nos.1 and 2 paper machines. He later worked as a custodian at Tripp Middle School in Turner.

Reggie was a lifetime member of the Frank L. Mitchell, VFW Post 3335 in Jay. He enjoyed car shows and his grandson, Noah.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Susann Chretien of Livermore Falls; his daughter, Lacy Wells and her husband, Paul, of Livermore Falls; grandsons, Noah Wells, Kevin Chretien and Payton Fitch; stepdaughter, Rebecca Fitch and her husband, Chris, of Livermore; two sisters, Irene Henry of Wilton and Simone Henry and her husband, Phil, of Candia, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.
