AUBURN — A Turner woman died following a Sunday morning crash on Center Street at the intersection of Colby Street.

Allyson Dunn, 32, died at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where she was taken by emergency crews after being extricated from her vehicle by Auburn firefighters.

Deputy Chief Jason Moen of the Auburn Police Department issued a press release stating that the crash occurred at 8:37 a.m. He said that Dunn was northbound on Center Street, or Route 4, when she lost control of her 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt and skidded into the southbound lane.

According to authorities, Dunn collided with a tractor-trailer driven by Gerald Moody, 59, of Oakland, who was not injured in the crash. The 2000 Sterling tractor-trailer Moody was driving is owned by Big Rock Transportation of Peru, Ind.

The crash remains under investigation. The Auburn Police Department is being assisted by an accident reconstructionist with the Maine State Police, as well as the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit.
