PORTLAND — On Saturday, March 5, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine will host its fourth multigenerational a cappella concert at the University of Southern Maine.

“Acappellooza 11” is an annual event, created by Terri Hatt, now deceased, who was a Big Sister with the organization.

Seven singing groups from Maine and New Hampshire volunteering to help Big Brothers Big Sisters raise funds to support children needing mentors are from USM, Bates and Colby colleges, and the University of New Hampshire, plus the Portland area women’s quartet known as Rally.

The concert will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets, $12 for general admission, may be purchased at Bull Moose Music locations or at the door, or by calling (207) 773-KIDS.
