TURNER — MSAD #52 Adult & Community Education is offering a wide variety of classes this winter/spring session.

Detoxing for Spring is a one-night class on March 7. Prepare your body for the transition into spring by learning different detoxing techniques including the roles of foods, herbs and cleansing therapies. Customize your program to lose weight and feel healthier.

Excel 2007 Part 2 starts March 7. Learn how to sort, alphabetize, delete columns, rows and more.

Another class beginning March 7 is PowerPoint 2007. Get familiar with how to create a PowerPoint presentation.

Make Your Clothes Fit – March Session will be held on March 8 and 10. Learn how to tailor clothing for yourself. Bring your sewing machine plus two or three projects.

In Automotive Basics on March 8, learn tips about your car or truck that will save you money and prolong the life of your vehicle. All questions are welcome during this hands-on evening.

Driver Ed Instructor Prep also takes place on March 8. This course consists of classroom time and five hours of road time. You must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also complete a First Aid course, Drivers Dynamics class and pass a state written and road test.

Employment Advice For Small Businesses will be offered March 10. Learn tips to avoiding the Maine Human Rights Commission, the courts and other claims. This program will help identify areas that seem to crop up the most and will help reduce the risk of claims. Discussion will range from harassment training to new items to add to personnel policies and more.

Take a trip March 13 to see Mary Poppins at the Opera House Theatre in Boston. See the show and experience a great time with everyone’s favorite nanny.
