FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Tourism Network, in partnership with the Franklin County Community College Network, Central Maine Community College, the Maine Woods Consortium and USDA Rural Development, will offer “Give ’em the Pickle” customer service workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Wilton and Tuesday, May 10, at the Carrabassett Valley Library in Carrabassett Valley.
Tourism is Maine’s number one business and customer service is the key to the success of every business. The “Give ’em the Pickle” training is being offered to businesses in Franklin County at a reduced cost due to support from the Better Fund and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The workshops have been tailored to the challenges and opportunities specific to Greater Franklin County. The cost to area businesses to attend the training is $35 for one attendee or $60 for two. The fee covers a light breakfast, lunch and materials.
The workshop focuses on service, attitude, consistency and teamwork.
